Our mission is to get communities active – keep moving, keep smiling! We run activities both out in the community and at our venue in Bootle – Merseyside’s best indoor sports centre.
Activity for All group, formerly JM Sports Coaching, was founded in 2004 and focuses on developing sport and exercise in local communities, ensuring everyone has access to take part and enjoy it. We believe sport and exercise has life-long benefits to health and well – being and therefore strive to provide an opportunity for people to participate in physical activities that are relevant and engaging. We particularly target areas where participation is low, and make sport and exercise accessible, affordable and inclusive. Our popularity continues to grow because of the dedication & professionalism of our team of coaches, instructors, trainers and military staff. Sport and exercise has played a major role in all of our team’s lives and we aim to pass this enthusiasm for physical activity onto every individual, whatever their ability.
Our Primary objective is to aid in the development of Physical Activity in Schools and Communities throughout Merseyside, Cheshire and surrounding areas. We currently work in partnership with over 200 local schools as well as Community groups and local organisations to identify areas of need and increase participation levels. We aim to focus on the creation of sports and physical activity that will benefit the participants and the wider community no matter what their needs or preferences.
One example of our work is our ‘Play for a Pound’ club which runs daily from 3.30 – 5pm at our Bootle Stadium sports centre. This club is available to all local youngsters aged 4 – 11 years, participants simply turn up and participate in a range of activities delivered by our qualified team of coaches. Over 30 youngsters attend this club daily. This club is funded by our partners JM Recruitment, Education & Training.
We hope you believe in our ethos and are able to join in some of our community work. If so we would love to hear from you on any ideas you might have to help keep our local community participating in sport and physical activity!
